Cannabidiol (CBD) is a chemical compound (a type of cannabinoid) extracted from cannabis. CBD is not psychoactive but does offer powerful benefits. These include relief from pain, anxiety, sleep issues, and many more. If you’re just getting started with CBD concentrates, it can be confusing to know which product is best for your needs. Use this guide to discover your ideal concentration.protocols, and prices; and we are left with quite a confusing landscape of hemp products offered by a seemingly unending lineup of companies.
All CBD concentrates primarily contain cannabidiol—not THC. Some concentrates do contain minuscule trace amounts of THC. This level of THC is not nearly sufficient to induce feelings of being high, but drug tests may still detect it. If you expect to be tested for THC, you should choose a CBD isolate product guaranteed to contain 0.0% THC.
If your doctor has recommended a CBD concentrate to treat a specific condition, such as epilepsy or insomnia, it’s best to defer to your doctor’s dosage recommendations. Your doctor can also provide recommendations based on factors such as your body weight.
Barring specific recommendations from your doctor, it’s best to start with a small dose. First, select a product that contains a smaller amount of CBD per serving. For example, Sycamore BioPharma’s 1,500mg CBD tincture contains 25mg per serving. Start with that product and gradually move up to the 3,000mg CBD tincture, which offers 50mg per serving.
After choosing the right product, the next step is to select your dose. For our tincture products, one dose is .5ml that is shown on our graduated droppers. However, you don’t need to take the full dose right away. Start with one-quarter of the dropper once per day for a few days, then take one-quarter twice daily for a few days. If you don’t yet receive the results you want, continue gradually increasing your dose until you take the full dropper twice daily. If need be, you can then consider moving up to the higher concentration product. It can take four to six weeks to see the full results from CBD tinctures.
