Our Story at Sycamore Biopharma
In 2018, the genesis of Sycamore Biopharma (SBP) took place in Charleston between founder Tyler Stone and a fellow founder. This pivotal meeting was urged by the SC Dept. of Agriculture, as Mr. Stone had expressed strong interest in supporting South Carolina’s nascent but rapidly growing hemp industry. Fast-forward to the spring of 2020, when Sycamore Biopharma opened its doors in West Columbia, SC, as a fully operational cGMP-compliant extraction facility. Since then, Sycamore Biopharma has evolved into a leading producer of a full line of medical-grade CBD products, leveraging advanced Supercritical CO2 extraction and wiped-film distillation technologies.
This strategic collaboration has empowered Sycamore Biopharma to craft a product line that’s truly unique in quality, potency, and efficacy—all while upholding the highest industry standards for the extraction, processing, distillation, and purification of plant-derived products.
In March 2022, Paula Dezzutti (Pixie) joined the Sycamore Biopharma team as CEO, bringing a wealth of expertise in product and brand development from her successful stints as CEO of Local Choice Spirits, Striped Pig Distillery, and Skirt Magazine. One of her key passions is advancing women’s health and sexual wellness—an exciting area where Sycamore Biopharma plans to innovate in the near future with targeted products focused on these needs.
Pixie’s addition has enabled Mr. Stone to dive deeper into product research and development, culminating in the launch of the groundbreaking EMBRACED CBD-Charged delivery system. Under the dynamic leadership of Pixie and Tyler, backed by a talented and diverse Sycamore Biopharma team, the EMBRACED™ collection is poised to revolutionize the topical delivery of CBD and other active botanical ingredients.
